One of the scariest things anyone can ever go through when going through a mental health ordeal is feeling like they are alone in their struggle, because it is an awfully isolating feeling.
But, it’s important to remember that perception doesn’t necessarily equate to reality.
“No one cares about you,” you think.
But if you’re honest with yourself, is that really true?
What about your best friend, a safe family member, the friend you’ve been brushing off but has been consistently checking up on you, your mentor, or your teachers at school?
Trust me, the whole “Nobody cares, and I’m a burden” mindset is a lie.
Hear me out: Your emotions are valid (it’s real). But, the belief, is wrong.
During a crisis, whether it’s anxiety, depression, PTSD, etc., related, reach out.
You are never alone, and people who love you will always be there to support you.
Your support system is stronger than you think & you’re more loved than you know.
